We stayed at a hotel in the Alhambra, as opposed to one in town at the bottom of the hill. I liken it to staying in the "park" at Disney World, verses in Orlando. Not the fancy Parador, but another place called the Hotel America. The desk clerk was Scottish, and had a wonderful sound after a week in Spain. We ran into an Irish bartender somewhere else. Granada is a college town and has a lot of students.

The hotel had a garden dining room that our room overlooked. There aren't a lot of places to eat in the Alhambra. They could use a little marketing to make it more Smithsonian-like. Looking up at our room I noticed the fancy tile-work around the windows. Oh I love tiles!
