Away We Go!

About this time last year we went to Vermont with some of our extended family.  It turned out to be an exciting visit as the daughter of one of husband's cousins was there with her boyfriend, and he proposed.

She met him in Hawaii where he lived and she was part of Teach for America.  They came to Vermont to be with her family and after following her Dad around for a few days to ask for her hand the question got popped in the middle of a lake.

Everyone but Molly knew it was coming, so the peanut gallery was out, cameras in hand when he proposed.  She said yes.

The wedding will be in Honolulu and of course we're going.


Since this will be our first visit to Hawaii we're staying awhile, going to the Island of Hawaii, the Island of Maui and then the Island of O'ahu.

We bought the tickets in October and have been planning the trip for months.  It's hard to believe it's time to go.  I haven't had a multi-week vacation since 2011.  Once we get there I'm sure it'll be great!
