With thousands of people coming into town fro the Inauguration - congratulations President Obama- we took a forecast for a 50 degree day to the shore. The forecast panned out and had a chance to enjoy some sun, even if an additional 40 degrees were needed for comfy play in the surf.
While it wasn't all that cold last week it was cloudy with a days-long drizzle. A little sun was what I needed.
There were people at the shore, just not in the water. After seeing a number of children playing in the sand in their bare feet I took my shoes off too.
You can't beat sand in your toes and it doesn't hurt my winter-icky feet to get scrubbed by a little sand.
It was an awesome weekend.
